9/29/2016 Orthodontic Bone Stretching for ankylosed teeth or implant relocation | Dr Philippe BOUSQUET | ParisRead NowOrthodontic Bone Stretching (OBS) allows conservation of infraclused ankylosed teeth or severely malpositioned implants on the arch, and can be an alternative to tooth extraction or implant removal associated with bone regeneration.
The technique uses partial corticotomies, associated with orthodontic forces. This procedure leads to bone movement by the stretching effect. The orthodontic device induces and directs the movement until proper position is achieved.
